It took about forty years while looking out to sea at Malinhead and asked myself how did I migrate from an MBA background into a more sedate and casual lifestyle, photography?
The answer is relatively simple, I just wanted a change, a different direction to, explore my inner creative talent.
I started with a Leica D-Lux 3 , Nikon D7100 and then a range of Hasselblad cameras mainly the X1D Mk2.
I decided to change to the Leica ecosystem – the Leica SL2 camera coupled with the superb Summilux-SL 50mm F1.4 ASPH and the wonderful Summicron-M 35mm F/2 ASPH .
I graduated from predominantly colour photography to Black and White – I do photograph colour images now and then!
To me, black and white photography is akin to an artist wandering around, searching for a captivating image. This artist then transforms ordinary and uninspiring scenes into truly awe-inspiring works of art.
